Video: B&C Financial Advisors Sponsors Annual Ocean Swim

B&C Financial Advisors was proud to sponsor the 82nd Annual Meninak Ocean Marathon Swim. On July 25, volunteer lifeguards began the 3.5 mile swim in Atlantic Beach and finished at the American Red Cross Lifeguard Station in Jacksonville Beach.

Meninak Club President, Karen Mathis, presented trophies at the end of the competition. Finishing the race at 1 hour 18 minutes, sixteen-year-old Autum Utech broke the cycle this year by becoming the first female ever to take first place. Coming in second place was Cleve Cooney, an ARCVLSC swimmer since 1983, followed by Bill Horn who has been a Commodore since the summer of 1987.

The American Red Cross first arrived in Jacksonville to provide relief during the Great Fire of 1901. Less than a decade later in 1912, the ARCVLSC began its commitment to keeping swimmers safe at Jacksonville Beach. Since then, millions who visit Jacksonville Beach rely on this professional force of volunteer life savers every day.
