Allan Cohen graduated from Jacksonville University with a B.S. in Accounting and went on to work as a Certified Public Accountant, adding an advanced certificate in Federal Gift and Estate Taxation. In 1983, he sold his CPA practice and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM (CFP®s) in order to pursue his dream of assisting people with their finances.

In 1995, he and Jan Butensky formed B&C Financial Advisors to manage client assets in a fee-only environment rather than selling products to clients and collecting commissions. Allan believes investing means buying companies, not stocks, and investing with the strict discipline that B&C Financial Advisors has developed. This allows clients to get a good night’s sleep without worrying about how their money is invested.
